Saturday

I've been busy sewing this week and I also gave my friend Sarah a Birthday lunch. We had such a good time! I'm a little tired. I am so thankful for all my wonderful friends! Today I gave Mackenzie her first sewing lesson. She made a purse from a pattern. I helped her and told her what to do and she was amazing! It blessed me to get to spend the afternoon with her. Thought I'd share what she made. She's very talented and only 13 years old!

BAMA

Emory

Here is sweet little Emory in one of her outfits. She could only take so much picture taking! This is the "Paulie Romper" We're planning a cute Christmas one next!

Happiness

"Happiness...it springs from a moment of contentment. I think of peace as being an extended, deep contentment, and happiness is a moment in time within that. I sit here quietly and listen. The house is full of blessing. My heart skips as the spirits of love, abundance, nature, creativity and everyday magic embrace me... "
I read this poem and it said exactly what I was feeling today. I am sooo blessed! I always feel happiest in the Fall, I'm not sure why?! I love the weather I guess. I was cleaning my house today and I was wondering why I ever complain?! I have a happy marriage, healthy children, great friends and I'm able to get out of bed in the morning and walk! I don't want to take all of this for granted! Thank you, Thank you Jesus!!!

Sewing, Sewing and more Sewing!

Here's just a few things I've made this week! I've been getting a lot of fun jobs to do and some not so fun! (I haven't done those yet!) I feel so blessed to be able to do this for my friends and family. If only there were more hours in the day?! I really want pictures of these on the little girls! They would be much cuter. Well I better go to bed, I have another full day of sewing tomorrow! If only I could clean my sewing room in my sleep tonight! Oh well.

Diaper Bags

There's been lots of babies born lately! I love giving these diaper bags as gifts! I fill them with burp cloths, blankets, onesies and all kinds of fun stuff!

FALL IS HERE!

It's been forever since I've posted anything. We had such a busy summer! I've sewn a little here and there. Now school is well on it's way
and we're on an actual schedule. Dillon is a junior! Sawyer's a 3rd grader, and Mason's a 1st grader! Allthough we're busy with homework around here, I get a few hours a day to myself to sew! Hope you haven't given up on looking!

This little bloomer set is reversible!

Spencer's Home!

Spencer is Home again. We haven't seen him since Christmas, so we're very happy to have him! He is still sweet as ever. Yesterday we all went to the beach. Me, Grant and all our boys. It was so much fun. (of course, I forgot the camera) The water was a little rough and full of jellyfish! But there was a great breeze thanks to Hurricane Dolly in the Gulf! Then we ate dinner at LuLu's, shopped a little at the outlet mall, and then went to visit Nana in Fairhope on the way home. It's such a blessing to be with all my boys together!

I haven't done a lot of sewing this summer, but thought I would post a few things that I did make. I made these outfits for my cousin Amanda's children. Erik, Jillianna and Henry! They wore these on the 4th of July!

This is Piper again! I made this outfit for her 2nd Birthday! It's a double layer dress with ruffles on each layer. She can wear it in the fall with a long sleeve blouse under it. The pants are the pleated Gauchos. They have a pleat on the bottom with striped fabric. It was so hard to get pictures of this busy girl, I hope you can see what it is. This is my favorite fabric! I had so much fun making this!

Mason's Birthday

Today Mas
on turned 6 years old! It's hard to believe! We had so much fun! Miss Daisy the clown came and made balloon animals and painted everyones faces! She also gave him his "Birthday Spankings" which were actually Tickling! I made the cake. This is a picture of cake #1. I realized this at 10:00 last night. I went to give it a second coat of frosting and I almost cried. That's what I get for trying to use a Martha Stewart recipe. It was too moist! The box cake worked great. Mason could hardly be still for pictures. He was so excited.

This is a "
Birthday Banner" I made. But of course it wasn't ready in time for the party! I finished it tonight. I had one letter left and friends started showing up. Oh well. We have it now. Grant tried to tell me this morning that I'm crazy. I love to pack as much as I can in one day! It was busy but I had such a wonderful day! I love giving my boys birthday parties. They appreciate it so much. They're growing too fast! I feel like I just had Mason. I almost cried this morning when he got up all sleepy eyed and said, "Mommy it's my Birthday and I'm 6!" It really hit me. I need to enjoy these days because they fly by.
Happy Birthday to my Sugar Bear!

Hun

This is Hun. (short for Honey) He's my other furry baby. He's almost 13. In this picture he's saying, "I hate kids". The boys got a little bored one rainy afternoon and put this Build a Bear hat on him. He was so mad and freaked out, he didn't move for a long time! Poor Hun! These are some other of his crazy positions.

He is a nu
tty cat!

Slumber Party!

I know it's been a while. Grant and Dillon have been in Costa
Rica on a mission trip, so I've been trying to stay busy so I don't miss them to bad! I did a little sewing, and went to my mom and dads house and spent the night with them in Fairhope. We went to the bay and shopping downtown one day and the next day we went to Gulf Shores. It was so nice being with them! Then Friday night I had a slumber party. We were up until 2:30am, we had so much fun tho. I love these girls. My friends Katherine and Ellisa came too, but they didn't spend the night! We watched "27 Dresses" It was so cute! Needless to say, I'm tired! Oh, and I signed up for Facebook to look at some pictures and the next day I had around 144 emails. Most of them Friend requests. It's very fun, but takes a lot of time. I've found that I really have to check it often because there's no telling what pictures will show up on it!! This is a new Amy Butler wristlet I made this week, and this is a pear pincushion I made for my friend Magen! The Guys made it back tonight, I'm so happy to have them home. They had a great time! I'm so grateful for Grant! Little boys need their daddy!

Ann-Haven

Today my friend Nancy and her kids came to play. Her baby Ann-Haven is another one of the precious little girls I love! And she loves clothes! I made the nighty for her and we couldn't get her to take it off! Then she wanted to try on Pipers outfit and as you can see, we had a blast taking pictures. She was very into it. It was Hilarious! The short set is 100% cotton. Turtle is applique. The nighty is 100% cotton knit and is a peasant style with elastic around neck and cap sleeve.

These are pictures of my favorite purse patterns. I love Amy Butler patterns and fabric. If you see one you like, let me know!

Memorial Day weekend

I hope everyone had as good of a weekend as I did! It was so nice. We took the boys to the beach for the day! It was perfect! I love where we live! "Sweet Home Alabama" When we left the beach we went and ate seafood. I love having quality time with Grant and the boys. Last night I worked on another ruffled peasant top and nighty. I'll be posting those soon. (I need my models!) My serger was acting up so my sweet husband spent about an hour adjusting knobs to get it just perfect. I told him he could help me sew anytime, I could sure use him!
