Today my friend Nancy and her kids came to play. Her baby Ann-Haven is another one of the precious little girls I love! And she loves clothes! I made the nighty for her and we couldn't get her to take it off! Then she wanted to try on Pipers outfit and as you can see, we had a blast taking pictures. She was very into it. It was Hilarious! The short set is 100% cotton. Turtle is applique. The nighty is 100% cotton knit and is a peasant style with elastic around neck and cap sleeve.

These are pictures of my favorite purse patterns. I love Amy Butler patterns and fabric. If you see one you like, let me know!
I hope everyone had as good of a weekend as I did! It was so nice. We took the boys to the beach for the day! It was perfect! I love where we live! "Sweet Home Alabama" When we left the beach we went and ate seafood. I love having quality time with Grant and the boys. Last night I worked on another ruffled peasant top and nighty. I'll be posting those soon. (I need my models!) My serger was acting up so my sweet husband spent about an hour adjusting knobs to get it just perfect. I told him he could help me sew anytime, I could sure use him!
Today is a "party hopping" day for me! I went to two graduation parties. Of course I was finishing monogramming and sewing the gifts this morning! I've been doing everybody else's stuff and mines always last. It's such a blessing to be able to give a handmade gift. I'm really thankful that God has giving me the gift to do it and the equipment to do it! Grant took the little boys to their baseball games this morning so I could get things done. Then they came home and played on the slip -n- slide all afternoon. They had the best time! They are so happy to be out of school and just have time to play. The monogrammed umbrella seemed to be a big hit with the matching wristlet. The towel and bag are another gift I monogrammed. (They're sitting on the bench I just painted) Can you guess what my favorite colors are?!

Cute baby gifts!
These baby blankets are my favorites. They're made with very soft batiste. I can do yellow, green & aqua as well! The other picture is a onesie set and burp cloth to match.
Today my baby graduated from Kindergarten. It's so hard to believe! He was so excited! (although he didn't appreciate the gown) I am too, because this means when he's in 1st grade, he'll go to school all day. No more picking up kids at 12 and 3. I can get a lot more work done! I will miss all our naps together tho! We will also miss his teacher, Mrs. Robbins. What an amazing teacher she is! Summer is here!!!!! Beach and pool here we come!
This is the Navy ship Spencer is on. It's a nuclear powered ship. The size of 4 football fields and about 5000 people live on it! These are pictures of the strike group. These smaller ships travel with them. He has been out to sea twice now for 6 months at a time. He is stationed in San Diego, CA. We email all the time. We miss him so much. He's doing so well and we are very proud of him!
I spent the day at my BEST friend Karens house today. We were getting ready for Bunco which is tomorrow night. We all look so forward to that! She made the best salad for lunch! Why does somebody else's salad always taste better? This is her precious baby Piper. I was there when she was born so we have a special bond. I love her so much! This is an outfit that I made her. It's the peasant top with ruffles and boutique bottoms. This outfit is $50.00. Custom made to fit perfect. It's 100% cotton. Pants can also be made capri length.
These are the towel wraps I've been monograming all Saturday night! There's 13. It felt so good to be finished! I cleaned my sewing room too! It was pretty disgusting. While I cleaned, my machine stitched away! My little baseball players were very tired tonight so I was able to get a lot done. We only have about a week left of baseball!! Yeah! We're all ready to have a much slower schedule.
Last weekend was so great. The whole family was home so we worked in the yard together. (well actually, I followed them around and told them what to do) It was beautiful weather. Grant and I grilled out and just enjoyed being together. We realized that we really need to do this more often. This is Mason, he couldn't wait to get home from school the next day to work in the yard some more! I wish I could say that for Dillon! (16 year old) Oh, and this is Rusty our dog, he's posing. He actually does smile when we come home. He showed up on our back deck about a year and a half ago. He babysits the boys and will even clean the kitchen floor for me. So we kept him. He is precious! God sent him to our house!
One of my favorite things to make is Children's Clothing. My boys are getting too big to sew for, except P.J.'s! It's so much fun making girls clothes! I have so many precious girls in my life! Here's just a few of the things I make!
My time is filled with all things boy (being mother to four boys will do that to you). Between trips to the ballpark, the grocery store and Hobby Lobby, I find time to sew. It keeps me from going crazy! So have fun seeing what I do. Email me if you see anything you like! stacygrant@live.com
